Abita Brewing Company
Abita Brewing Company was founded in 1986 with just 1500 barrels. They have since expanded to 90,000 barrels and relocated to a large facility, turning the original brew house into the Abita Brew Pub. This company is locally owned and operated from Abita Springs, LA. What makes their beer special? They’d say it’s in the water. Since Abita’s conception they have boasted the purity of their spring water.
If you’re in search of an Oktoberfest beer, Abita Amber fits the mold. Serve this caramel flavored lager with seafood. Unlike most brown ales, Turbodog, combines chocolate and toffee to the traditional roasted nutty flavor. This beer is considered a dark brown ale, but resembles an American Porter.
